Our Curriculums
In order to progress it is essential for young athletes to train at a level commensurate with their ability and experience. This is especially true for volleyball, a fast and complex rebound sport that is heavily dependent on teamwork, communication and consistency in the execution of individual and team skills.
These characteristics mean volleyball training is most likely to be of developmental benefit when it takes place in groups of athletes with homogenous levels of skill and playing history. Skipping a level to a curriculum too high for the athlete’s ability can be discouraging for an athlete and cause frustration for the others.
Volleyball Development Camps offers seven training curriculums for young athletes. These and other training programmes are delivered in weekend courses, one-day workshops and day and residential summer camps lasting one to two weeks.
The seven curriculums fall into two categories, Skills Training and Performance Training.
