Pathways Volleyball Camp

Camp Benefits

A foundation for entering competitive volleyball
Improved ball control, enabling participation in three-touch rallies
Initial introduction to game tactics
Knowledge of court positions
A basic understanding of the athlete’s role in defence and offense

The Pathways Camp is a multi-level training programme where younger athletes refine their individual ball-control and begin to learn how to link their playing action to that of another team mate.

Who it’s for: Athletes who have started attending organised volleyball training and want to begin competitive participation structured entry-level youth games, such as four-a-side volleyball. In larger camps the participants are divided into groups according to their level of skill, so that they can make steady progress to more complex drills by training with campers of similar athletic ability. Some athletes may need to attend more than one Pathways Camp before progressing to the next curriculum.

VbDC’s message to the athlete: You have fun practicing volleyball and want to  use your new skills to play competitively. You like team sports and communicate with team mates to win a rally. You can serve over the net and onto the opposite court about 30 percent of the time. You can move quickly to get to a ball to play it with either an underarm pass or an overhead volley. You can jump and hit a ball while in the air.

Athlete information required: Information about the athlete’s playing history.

There are no current events taking place at the moment.
