The Elite Camp is a five-or 10-day, intensive training experience for athletes who have been competing at higher levels of school or club competition, or for their national youth team.
Who it’s for: Athletes with a minimum of five years of year round training and competition, on school or club teams who now compete on national league, university or national youth teams. The athlete will have been training in an environment in which his or her performance in a specific position has assured their place on the team’s starting line-up.
VbDC’s message to the athlete: You are a proven, disciplined volleyball athlete competing at some of the highest levels of the sport. Your training focus is mental as much as it is physical, and you are able to establish a productive relationship with different coaches in both of those areas. You know about the demands of the sport on your off-court lifestyle and follow them with a commitment that you accept is fundamental to being an elite athlete. You know the value of court time, whether it is training with peers or helping new athletes learn the sport you love.
Athlete information: Registration for this camp requires you to provide information about your playing history and competitive experience, your physical attributes (eg. height, wingspan, dominant hand, vertical jump, etc.), your playing position, awards, and other relevant details to help coaches prepare your tuition. A recommendation from a qualified or licensed volleyball coach is mandatory. Videos of you in training or competition are required.
