In recognition of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, 16-20 March, Volleyball Development Camps and the youth organisation it sponsors, VBDC Volleyball Club, are proud to declare their continued support for the neurodivergence assistance charity f6it through a shared grant.

We invite south of England volleyball clubs that would like to add working with disabled and neurodivergent young people to their programme, to get in touch with VbDC. Extending our sport into a new, purposeful arena is a good cause; it highlights volleyball’s contribution to the community and is definitely worth the effort in terms of personal satisfaction. It can make a rewarding difference in a young person’s life – for those who participate as coaches and helpers just as much as it is for the recipients of their instruction.

Through this partnership, we are able to provide fun, inclusive and accessible volleyball for children and young people with disabilities and special needs, giving them the opportunity to enjoy sport with family and friends.

Monthly sessions take place at The Edge leisure centre at Woolmer Hill Sports Park in Haslemere, Surrey. The sports park management team, composed of volunteers from the surrounding community, continues to build an inclusive environment for a wide range of sports activity, with a growing focus on supporting Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision across the south of England region.

Together, VbDC, VBDC VC and f6it are reaffirming their commitment to making volleyball accessible to people of all abilities and inviting otrher volleyball groups to join the effort.
